Questionnaire for the Future
On the day that the extraterrestrials exchange diplomatic credentials with Tibetan monks, will you mind the gap while crossing the vessel’s threshold? When the western Antarctic ice shelf has melted and Bangladesh is under meters of water, will the Equator’s line have moved closer to your bedroom by .52 kilometers, or will it have moved further away? And, after 16 generations, will the last living blonde join you in the Rapture or will she suffer the Great Tribulation? And what if you’re invited to sit at the table with Tupac Amaru, God, your grandmother, and Tupac Shakur? Will you still say you’re not tired? And will you say it was worth it and eat peeled grapes?
